Camera Bag

I had good intentions yesterday, I really did.  My plan was to clean the house from top to bottom.  However, I started in the sewing room, as my mom is coming to visit and I needed to make room for a bed in there.  While I was cleaning and putting things away, I figured I might as well clean out the closet, and then, hmm, those craft supplies could be better organized, and oh, I always meant to sort those scraps by colour.  Soo…several hours later, I do have a nice neat organized sewing room,a nd everything was all put away ready for the room to be a bedroom, but I did not get the rest of the house done.  No worries, plenty of time after dinner to do a little mopping and dusting.  Well, after dinner I figured I’d better pack first, and when packing I realized I don’t have a case for my camera.  I couldn’t take it with me whithout a case, could I?  So, you guessed it, out came all the sewing supplies again, and I made myself a nice little home for my camera.  Isn’t it nice?  I used a tutorial from Sew, Mama, Sew which was super easy, one of those half hour jobs that actually only takes you a half hour!  So…my house may not be clean, but my camera can travel in style!!

I’ll be away for a few days, so sorry, no posts for awhile.  (And I know you were just dying to find out what food I was going to write about for Fun Food Friday, but you’ll just have to wait until next week!) :)

First of all – how did your strawberry pie turn out??? It looked so tasty, and I’m curious if with all the modifications it still turned out yummy. Also, I’m ridiculously impressed with how many projects you have completed this summer! You know how to get the job done, and keep busy doing what you love!

Thanks!  It has been very rewarding to see that pile of unfinished projects disappear!  The strawberry pie was not as good as I hoped – it definitely needed more honey to make it sweet enough. (I have since learned that I need to substitute honey for sugar on an almost 1-1 basis).    However, I fixed it by creating a sweet strawberry sauce to pour over top, so we still enjoyed it.  I have a blueberry pie recipe that is almost identical that we love so I will definitely give the strawberry pie a try again too!
